Tools
These are gifts that your DIY dads would love to get. Whether they know it or not, they could use some new tools and gadgets.
One way to find out what they want/need is to just ask. But you could also check out their toolbox to see what they might need replacing or what they don’t have.
While you are scoping out his toolbox see if that needs to be replaced or upgraded too. If they have stuff laying around then they may like a bigger toolbox or a storage cabinet that will make it easier for them to find stuff.

One thing that I always like to look for is joke gifts for people. Even a joke book for dads can make their day. Especially if they are always making jokes. Other things that you can look for are funny t-shirts, mugs, and crazy grill aprons. Even the stuffiest dad should get a good laugh from receiving a funny/gag gift.
