There are just some types of work people that make the place terrible to be at.
When I went to work the other day there were some people that weren’t there. I was glad that I didn’t have to deal with them. It’s not that I don’t like them for the most part, or not get along with them most of the time.
There are only so many times you can listen to someone complain about doing their jobs. I know work sucks and there are days that I just do not want to be there either, yet I still show up and put on my server face and go with it until I can leave for the day.
This concept seems to be something that many cannot get. They come in and the first words out of their mouths are that they don’t want to be there.
We get it, we got it the first twelve times you said it. If you dislike your job or the people that you have to work with that much, go somewhere else.
Types of People At Work
Ok my little rant there is over, back to what I really wanted to talk about, which is the different types of people that you encounter while working anywhere that there is more then one or two people.
In any place that you work you encounter the same types of people. Some you love to be around and make the day enjoyable. Others you would love to smack some sense into.
Those that make the day enjoyable are usually laid back and easy-going. The other type is either a know-it-all or thinks that they are the only reason that the establishment can function.
Now don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean that they are bad people or even unlikable. They are just a pain to work with on a daily basis. I like to think that I fall into the category of being easy-going and enjoyable to be around…most days.
But I will also be the first to admit that sometimes I can be a jerk to be around for whatever reason.
It’s not intentional, it just happens that way.
It happens with anywhere that you come into contact with groups of people that are forced to be together for any length of time.
There are three main categories of work people that just make the place unbearable
The Narcissist
They are usually found running to the bosses any time that something doesn’t go their way. They feel that everything is a slight against them.
Here is a news flash for those that think like that…It is not about you! It more then likely has absolutely nothing to do with you at all.
Sometimes there are things that need to be addressed by the manager on duty and we have to talk to them about it.
The Complainer
They whine about anything and everything that happens in a day.
It ranges from simple complaints to a constant stream to the point that you know everything that is bothering them that day.
Don’t get me wrong we all complain about work, life in general, and a slew of other things as well.
But there are times that you hear these people walk around all day listing each and every issue that they have been dealing with lately.
The Lazy Ones
Now they get their job done for the most part, but they don’t really do what they are supposed to.
They do the bare minimum and then they fly out the door at the end of the shift.
Or they sneak out without doing any side work at all.
These are the types that irritate me the most. I get not wanting to go above and beyond every day to make sure that everything is done, but at least do your job.
Final Thoughts
These types of work people are common in the different work environments and they can be equally frustrating to be around.
We have all been that type of person before, and we have all worked with these types of people.
The only thing you can do is just roll with the different personalities and hope that you don’t just turn around and smack them when they are really annoying.
